Forty-seven men from Brill and nearby hamlets died in the First and Second World Wars. We remember them all here and invite residents near and far to add their own comments, memories and stories of loved ones*. We’d particularly like to add photographs so please email Hannah (who manages this website) if you can help.

Lest We Forget : Walking in their Footsteps.

The information here is based on the dedicated research of Cllr James Tuffley, culminating in a moving display in Brill village. This is James’ message to us in November 2026:

As you walk around village you will notice that poppies have been placed on the lampposts. Please take a moment to think and read about the 47 men that answered the call in both World Wars and the loved ones left behind. They made the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of peace.

We will remember them.
